Home sweet home. Holiday was not long enough but we all had a great time despite the periods of light to heavy rain. The apartments at Coffs Harbour were lovely. A short walk to the beach but surrounded by trees. Guess it was called "Treetops" for a reason then :D We visited the Dolphin Marine park and the kids got kisses from a seal and dolphin as well as fed some sharks and turtles. We also visited the Big Banana and indulged in some of their very yummy banana desserts. Yesterday we went to the Butterfly House/Maze and tea rooms. The children and Rob and I loved it there and spent some time looking at all the butterflies and even got to see a few hatching from their cocoons. Just amazing. Oh and if you ever are in Coffs Harbour I recommend their tea room. We had some beautiful chocolate chip biscuits in the shape of butterflies and they have the yummiest scones I have ever tasted. All home made. We also had fun in the maze though I'm glad I have three very logical thinking males because I would definitely have gotten lost. In between we did some relaxing and the boys did a lot of swimming. We went down to the beach once, but wasn't very impressed with it. Surf was really too rough for boys to swim in and the sand was all made up of rough rocks and shells, instead of soft sand. But since the pool was pretty awesome and heated it was a very wonderful substitute. On the way home today we stopped in at the Macadamia Castle and the boys got their photo taken standing near the big knight at the entrance. They also have an animal petting area and mini golf but we'll have to save that for another time. I will post some photo's over the next couple of days. For now though I'm just going to finish unpacking and then head to bed. Its been a while since we drove anywhere that takes more than 2 hours so we are all pretty tired. Best wishes xxx Marg.

P.S.  For my overseas friends, Coffs Harbour is about 400 km from Brisbane.  We go over the Queensland border to New South Wales and its along the East coast.

It sounds like y'all had a lovely family vacation! I do hope you'll post a photo or two for those not familiar with Australia? I'd love to see some if it isn't too much trouble. :)

BTW, welcome back!

Sounds lovely. Happy you had such a great time!

And I am familiar with the 'need a vacation to recover from the vacation' syndrome ;)

Thank you hon. To be honest I hadn't given it any more thought. I thought it would be a while until you got them so ready to wait as long as it takes :D
