allthingsgood has a wonderful idea--the Holiday Love Meme! In the words of the OP: "Comment with your username and people will comment anonymously with things they love and cherish about you. Stay anonymous simply because it makes the atmosphere lighter and more mysterious, kind of like a Secret Santa only with love and holiday cheer! People will wonder who these caring people are and appreciate the fact that they exist, not only the fact that they may be best friends with them.

Then find people you care about and have something nice to say to - even if you don't know them! - and leave them something that will make their heart feel a little warmer at night. This way, the love will go around and around and the magical spirit of the season can be cherished and appreciated by all."

I have never taken part in one of these but this year hasn't been the easiest so I'm biting the bullet and welcome your comments.  If any of my friends participate then I would certainly love the chance to leave some positive thoughts for you too.

My post is here - http://allthingsgood.livejournal.com/331327.html?thread=19037759#t19037759

Hee! This is why I'm several hundred lj posts behind but what the hell! A few of my lj friends have done this and the results are hilarious.  Here is what I ended up with.

Because we never really know each other as well as we think, in response to this post I'd like you to ask a question. Anything about which you are curious, anything you feel you ought to know about me. Silly, serious, personal, fannish. Ask away. Then copy this to your own journal, and see what people don't know about you.

Ask your questions - I will answer and perhaps in the meantime I'll be able to kickstart my muse and stop procrastinating.

Oh, you know they will be great together.
When you first heard that Catherine Tate and David Tennant were teaming up to do a production of Beatrice and Benedick 'Much Ado About Nothing', you were excited, weren't you?

But now that you realize you cannot go, for one reason or another, you are a bit depressed, aren't you?

TO ALL MY LJ FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS: Copy and Paste if you have enjoyed the blessing of meeting people online that you never would have met any other way. This is my end of the year shout out to the many "friends" I have never been in the same room with but who have inspired, amused, comforted, encouraged, and touched me in so many ways. I love you people! Here's to another year together!!

In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it! Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer. 93% won't copy and paste this. Will you?

My grandfather passed away from prostate cancer in 2007. God bless him.
Lost a lovely school friend aged 37 to breast cancer two months ago. She left behind a 4 year old son.

I have another friend who lives in Germany who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 around 5 years ago. She beat it and is almost finished her treatment.  She is married with 2 little girls aged 5 and 3.  I pray daily that she never has to face such an illness again.
