I have never taken part in one of these but this year hasn't been the easiest so I'm biting the bullet and welcome your comments. If any of my friends participate then I would certainly love the chance to leave some positive thoughts for you too.

In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it! Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer. 93% won't copy and paste this. Will you?

My grandfather passed away from prostate cancer in 2007. God bless him.
Lost a lovely school friend aged 37 to breast cancer two months ago. She left behind a 4 year old son.

I have another friend who lives in Germany who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 around 5 years ago. She beat it and is almost finished her treatment. She is married with 2 little girls aged 5 and 3. I pray daily that she never has to face such an illness again.
